Ikan Nyok-Nyok Goreng

INGREDIENTS

  • fish – can be any fish, I used ikan nyok-nyok
  • enough turmeric for marinating
  • salt
  • garlic- pounded
  • ginger-pounded
  • enough oli for frying
  • chili powder (if you like but I omit it)

METHOD

  • marinate fish with salt, turmeric, garlic and ginger for half an hour or longer
  • Heat oil and fry the chicken untill it cooked
  • Ready to serve

serve with white rice and sambal belacan.good combination

    Fish Curry

    INGREDIENTS

    • 3 slices of tenggiri fish
    • some curry leaves
    • 1 big Onion – sliced
    • 2 cloves garlic – scliced
    • 1 tsp mustard seeds
    • 2 packet curry powder – I used Babas and add some water to make a paste
    • A pinch turmeric powder
    • 2 tbps of tamarind paste + 1.5 cups of water
    • Salt To Taste
    • oil as required.
    • some vegie e.g egg plant or ladiesfinger – I don’t have one so nevermind

    METHOD

    • Heat oil, fry mustard seed with curry leave
    • then add onion and garlic , stirred untill brownish
    • add curry paste and fry till the oil begins to float on top.
    • Add about tamarind juice. Bring the gravy to a boil
    • Add the fish slices and cook for 15 minutes.
    • then add vegies.
    • Let it simmer for 5 minutes
    • Off fire, ready to serve

    Kailan Ikan Masin

    INGREDIENTS

    • 1 pcs of salted fish -tenggiri
    • Kailan – cut nicely
    • Onion and garlic – sliced
    • big red chili
    • small chili – (mine not too hot as I have green eater at home – both kids like vegie)
    • a pinch of sugar
    • 1/4 cup of water for gravy

    Steps to do:

    1. fry salted fish till cook
    2. throw onion and garlic then saute till them soft
    3. put chilies – saute
    4. throw the kailan inside- saute
    5. put in some water and sugar to taste, no need salt as salted fish is already salty
    6. then scoop it and serve
