Curious kids need to be tough inside

F1Curiosity is an emotion related to natural inquisitive behaviour such as exploration, investigation and learning. Curiosity makes us learn more to move ahead. Naturally, curiosity exists when we were young. Kids!.. they are full with curiosity. They will curious in everything. They explore, questioning and wondering. By doing that, it gave them an opportunity to learn.

Let’s take my kids as an example. When my kids start exploring, they will discover and they will learn new things. But normally, when they exploring, they are expose to bacteria and germs from their environment. Bacteria and germs will cause them a few illnesses such as diarrhea, rashes, vomiting, fever, flu and many more. When they get sick, it has limited them from exploring new things.

So how can I protect my kids from germs and bacteria without having them to be in “sterilised” area?

Boost their immunity!!!

How to boost their immunity? It can be from many ways

Eat Healthy Meal

I’m lucky because my kids love fruit and vegetables so much. They eat oranges, papayas, strawberries as a snack and they love carrots, beans or salad to be included in their meals. Fruits like orange, papaya, and kiwi, vegetable like beans or carrot rich with e vitamin c and carotenoids that can boost their immune system.

Bedtime

I will make sure my kids to get enough and quality sleep. At least 11 to 13 hours per day. Lack of sleep leads the immune system to break down and off course they get cranky easily. I know it quite difficult to get small kids to sleep on their own in their own room. I have a tip which I apply to my kids. I decorated their room with their favourite picture especially their bedsheet. And to make they sleep through the night, I make sure the air circulation is good, quite, and clean room.
Hygienic Practice

I teach them to wash hand right after toilet visiting, touching pet, back from outside or playground and covering mouth when they sneezing. But not only them to practice the hygienic, we as a parent also need to make sure our kids environment is clean. Example clean toilet, clean clothes, clean floor and clean utensil. And I always bring wet wipes with me when we doing outdoor so that it can be used for quick clean up.

Stay Healthy

Avoid from unhealthy environment like cigarette smoke or dust. Healthy kids save a lot in term of medications fees and it is a ‘worry free’ as far as the kids is healthy. It just good to see that my kids do not like the smell of cigarette smoke and they’ll start complaining about it. Do you know that Smoking affects the function of the immune system and may increase the risk for respiratory and other infections?

Drink More Water

Water is very important for our body system. Without water our body would stop working. Water is also in lymph, a fluid that is part of our immune system which helps us fight off illness. We need water to digest our food and get rid of waste, too. Water is needed for digestive juices, urine and poop. And we can bet that water is the main ingredient in perspiration, also called sweat. My kids especially, they are very active hence they need to drink enough water to avoid them getting dehydrated. Beside plain water, they will enjoy fruit juice, yogurt drink or maybe clear soup like chicken soup or vegetable soup.

Play Time

Since I am a home maker, I have a time to bring them for exercise and normally we will enjoy it in the swimming pool. We will spend 1 hour per session, 3 times a week. Swimming is the best exercise. Besides swimming, they also have a chance to run happily in playground with their friends. FYI, during moderate exercise immune cells circulate through the body more quickly and are better able to kill bacteria and viruses. After exercise ends, the immune system generally returns to normal within a few hours, but consistent, regular exercise seems to make these changes a bit more long-lasting. But, while we happily exercise, I will always make sure my kids safety especially in swimming pools. In case we do not have a chance to enjoy our day in swimming pool, I will switch on lullaby song and start dancing with them. At least, we will get sweat!

Drink Milk


F10I start breastfeeding my kids since they were born because I want to make sure they get the best nutrition. Show them your love. Hug and kiss them as much as I can and I love to do so especially in the morning when they waking up from their bed. Ha ni pulak gambar cara duduk dalam train… punyalah excited nak naik train. Ni masa naik train from Ang Mo Kio nak ke Kranji sebab kiterang nak naik bas kat Johor balik KL. First time bebudak ni rasa travelling naik bus. Penatlah naik bas. lebih rela naik kereta jer.

Cara pantang dengan diet yang sihat

Citer pasal pantang lagi. Yela I have another 3 months to go and will do the pantang. This time round ,macam biasa, i will pantang kat KL not in Kampung.Saja tak nak menyusahkan my mum.

Well , berbalik pasa berpantang cara sihat? Macam mana nak pantang cara sihat? Pada pandangan dan pengalaman saya,berpantang amat penting lebih-lebih lagi dari segi makan dan minum.Kalau cakap pasal makan, I remember when I was young, during my mom’s punya pantang. She only can eat rice and ikan kering bakar. It’s look tasty for once but apa zat yang ada.Takde zat pun dalam tu except carbohidrat.So I pikirlah jugak kenapa kenapa kena makan ikan kering jer???

But when time flies after ceramah from Doktor, my mum tukat diet during pantang. So masa pantang ada fruits, vegie and meat.Back to my pantang experience.

Apa Lauk saya makan – I had white meat chicken, White meat fish and sometimes daging. Selalunya ayam akan di masak sup with lot of ginger and rempah ataupun dibakar dengan garam+kunyit+halia.While for Ikan, I always prefer to have Ikan bakar. Ikan dibakar dengan kunyit yang byk dan sedikit garam.But I make sure cara masakan ditukar dalam seminggu. Kadang-kadang ikan tu , akan dimasak singgang , kukus atau masak sup.Kena tengok ikan jenis apa yang boleh dimakan. Mostly ikan daging putih sepert Haruan,i ikan Selar, Ikan Kerisi, senangin,Merah, Siakap dan sebagainya. tap jangan makan ikan kembung atau terubuk. Gatal beb.r

Sayur Apa yang saya makan – Jangan lupa makan sayur. Sayur penting sebab masa baru lepas bersalin, ada pertukaran hormon juak. Jadi sembelit senang sangat. I pernah rasa macam mana sembelit. Sayur yang jadi favourite saya ialah sayur sawi, bayam, kubis, carrot dan kentang. Semua tu saya buat masak sup jer. Agak-agak dah boring, saya makan ulam pegaga atau ulam raja. layan jer dengan lada hitam. Kunyit muda and halia muda pun sedap buat ulam.Sayur kekacang atau terung dan kangkung, saya tak makan sebab tu sayur sejuk. Normally, masa not pregnant pun my body will tell yang setengah sayur tuh buat datang angin.

Buah apa saya makan – Kalau orang dulu-dulu, dorang tak kasi makan buah langsung. Dorang kata angin. Betul tu. Kebanyakan buah angin.Badan kita akan tau buah apa yang anginkan. Tapi masa pantang saya tak lupa makan buah 3 kali sehari. Saya cuma makan buah epal merah,kiwi,anggur,buah kurma dan dried fruit contoh prune, raisin, aprikot dan sebagainya. Most of the Citrus fruit memang saya tak makan sebab angin.

Lain-lain makanan – I will have bread for breakfast everyday, preferbaly raisin bread and toast. I enjoyed them with Horlick. Sometime wholegrain biskut. Desert, normally dapat makan jelly jer .No cake or oily food untill 60 days.And no ice and other seafood untill 100 days.Pati ikan haruan is a MUST for me masa pantang sbb nak tambah tenaga and supaya luka cepat sembuh.FYI, I did not take any cafein drink sbb menyusu badan.

Ingat pantang bukan satu penyiksaan, sepatutnya menjadi minggu-minggu yang merehatkan dan mendapat layanan istimewa sebabb kita dah susah payah berjuanng untuk hidup. Nanti I share my experience mengurut dan yang lain-lain.
